Technical Project Architect
TERM: Initially a 3 month contract with the potential for a longer term engagement
LOCATION: Greater New York City Area (or at least accessible to NYC)

We partner with Fortune 500 companies, healthcare systems and funded startups to do everything from product discovery, through technical architecture, design and development. We partner with clients to solve their problems, and meet their business goals.
EXPECTATIONS: As the technical project architect, you’ll be responsible for defining the overall structure of a program or system. You’ll establish the technical architecture of the solution, overseeing the solution implementation, and ensuring all technical components of the project run smoothly. You can work in many different capacities as a technical architect, from planning the structure of a large scale patient records database, to the redesigning of a workflow systems for patient engagement systems, to name a few.
A lot of your time will be spent interfacing with the client’s stakeholders and OysterLabs product management team, to ensure the project meets the needs of the organization and the people who'll be using it. Some of the main tasks you can expect to be involved in include:
Identifying the organization's needs
Breaking down large scale projects into manageable chunks
Working out which technologies, frameworks, products, and solutions to use based on cost benefit analysis and research
Reviewing solutions / plans with the client
Working with product managers, designers and developers to ensure quality of delivery of the solution
Assisting in the coordination of distributed agile development teams
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5-10 years of experience work technical development and technical architecture
Experience working on integration projects is required
Prior experience with data platforms and cloud technology is required
Prior experience in the healthcare technology space is preferred
Strong communication skills with clients / operational managers – listening and providing answers
Ability to gather complex information and distill into action-items is required
Good knowledge of quality and security standards, and best practices
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER

We partner with clients to solve their problems, and meet their business goals.
EXPECTATIONS: At OysterLabs, the UX Designer will work as part of a small, interdisciplinary product team, in collaboration with our clients. Our work helps to address user's pain-points and execute on exciting market opportunities. You can work in many different use-cases ranging from mapping the experience for a data segmentation tool, to redesigning of a workflow systems for patient engagement and share decision making platform.
Much of your time will be spent interfacing with the client’s stakeholders and OysterLabs product management team, to ensure the project meets the needs of the organisation and the users. Some of the main tasks you can expect to be involved in include:
Identifying the organizational needs and address usability issues
Actively driving the human-centered design process.
Collaborating with product managers, software engineers, and customers to turn complex workflows into easily usable products.
Breaking down large scale projects with multiple user journeys into manageable chunks
Conducting user-research to identify and frame problems to be solved.
Working with team members to understand and prioritize your roadmap.
Considering the needs of all internal stakeholders (design, product, sales, support, etc) while helping achieve business goals.
Iterating on wireframes and mockups with feedback from designers, PM’s, engineers, and clients.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
4+ years of experience, preferably designing for complex, enterprise applications
Experience with information architecture best practices, creating user flows, personas, and user scenarios.
Knowledge of the elements of good visual design and typography
Ability to communicate your design ideas at many levels of fidelity
Ability to gather complex information and distill into action-items is required
Experience in user research, testing, and evaluation
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be proficient in Sketch and/or photoshop
